Khon Kaen Education and Travel Programs is located in the heart of Northeast, Thailand (Isaan). Like many businesses in Southeast Asia, KKETP is staffed primarily by family members. Our organization is committed to providing the Thai community we live in quality education and providing a safe, fun environment for visitors from abroad to be of service and experience the warm and welcoming Isaan culture.
Last week, Katt did a day tour with a lovely young lady from Denmark. She inquired about riding horses and Katt was able to find a place at the lake just down from The Ubolratana Dam. The Thai guys have a club called “Isaan Cowboys”!

We just wanted to say thank you to all current and former clients. We’ve been very busy with our current workload, but we will have more time to grow KKETP soon when our son Alex starts school. We look forward to continuing to provide our services as well as expanding.
We’re right in the middle of the annual “water war” and boy did we get wet today! The Songkran Festival is a great break from the April heat and is a time for families to reunite. For us, April has another reason to celebrate as our son, Alexander, was born on the 5th. Here’s a video of the big man’s recent 2 year turning:

Katt was recently listed as a Thai language teacher on Women Learn Thai. It’s a great website to visit if you’re interested in learning Thai language. Katt is currently teaching 10-12 hours a week on Skype and 5 hours a week face to face in the KKETP classroom at Fairy Plaza here in Khon Kaen. If you’ve been considering taking a course, go for it now before Katt is fully booked!

July has finally stopped pretending to be April (the hottest month) and the rains have descended; a welcome return for the young rice crop. This time of year, daily rain is common, though just in torrential, sporadic bursts, especially in the afternoon. Katt has recently started her first on-line Thai course using Skype with a gentleman from Australia. We have our first gap year student arriving in July from California and look forward to welcoming an Irish woman to our “Teach“ program later this year. Our tour program is expanding and will include Isaan tours of up to 16 days soon. We look forward to seeing you in the future!
